A fantasy promo website for a mobile strategy game
Wartales of Aerin is a mobile real-time strategy and tower defence game where players build a base, lead an army and fight for the world of Aerin. We built a website that pulls visitors into a world at war from the very first screen, explains the game in seconds and drives them towards one action: download the game and join the beta.
Order Description
A game in early access needed more than a landing page. It needed a gateway to its world: a place where a new player understands the genre in under a minute, picks a side and gets the game onto their phone straight away. The main goal was to convey the atmosphere and scale of the world without burying the page in text, and to make the path from the first screen to installation as short as possible.
Trust was a separate requirement. The game is distributed via APK among other channels, so the website had to feel like the project’s official home, with a clear download page, version changelog, system requirements and a transparent privacy policy.
The website was bilingual from day one, in Russian and English, with automatic language detection based on browser settings. Russian-speaking players go straight to the download, while international visitors can already get to know the game and see that the English version is on its way.

Description
We designed and developed a fast, fully responsive promo website that works as the game’s showcase and the entry point to its community.
The home page reads like a trailer in text. The hero screen, with the logo and the tagline “Build. Defend. Conquer.”, sets the tone instantly and leads straight to the beta. Next come five short cards about the game: base building, attack and defence, multiplayer, factions and seasons. The “Choose your faction” section pits the human Empire under the Banner of Dawn against the orcish Vargat under the Banner of Ash, inviting players to pick a side before they even install. The Screenshots section shows real in-game captures with captions: the main screen, matchmaking with player cards, the profile with match history and a battle with base building. “A living world” opens an interactive map of Aerin with regions and faction crests, and a final call to action invites players to join the beta.
A dedicated download page makes installation effortless: a direct Android APK download, Google Play and iOS status, the current version number, a changelog, system requirements and a hint on how to allow installation on Android. Questions and bug reports lead to the game’s Telegram community, connecting players directly with the team.
Visually, the project is built on a dark fantasy palette of gold and parchment, a 3D logo and bold accent typography. Parchment buttons, cards, faction crests and smooth scroll-in animations keep attention focused and guide players towards the download.
Under the hood, the website is lightweight and respectful of its users: statically generated pages, self-hosted fonts, and no cookies, third-party scripts or trackers. A sitemap, hreflang language versions and Open Graph and Twitter preview cards are set up for search and social, so a link to the game looks great in any messenger.
As a result, Wartales of Aerin got an atmospheric bilingual website that sells the game from the first screen, offers a clear path to installation and grows with the project from beta to release.
